Where these rules come from

Type your salary and see the tax on salary, the NSSF contribution and what reaches your hand, by Cambodia's 2026 rules. Worked out on your own device.

Tax on salary: five steps from 0% to 20% on the month's pay, after the pension and the family rebate.

Family rebate: 150,000 riel a month for a spouse at home and for each dependent child.

NSSF: worked out on a wage between 400,000 and 1,200,000 riel. The worker pays 2% for the pension.

Dollars to riel: the official rate the tax department publishes.

Questions people ask

Is this what my payslip will say?

It follows the published rules. Your employer's payroll decides: allowances, benefits and the exchange rate it uses can change the number.

My salary is in dollars. Which rate is used?

The tax is worked out in riel, at an official rate. Your employer uses the rate for your pay month. Type the rate on your payslip to match it.

Who counts as a dependent child?

A child under 14, or under 25 and studying full time. Each child is claimed by one parent only.

Why is the NSSF amount so small?

It is worked out on a wage of at most 1,200,000 riel, so a worker pays at most 24,000 riel a month. The pension rate is due to rise in October 2027.

Where does my salary go when I type it?

Nowhere. Everything is worked out on your own phone or computer. A share link carries only the numbers.
